Elven Village of Corwylln-this village had been assaulted by an unknown power roughly 800+ winters ago. The Elves there were entrapped in "Soul Bricks"- rectangular blocks of densely packed material that resembled charcoal. Over the ages, the forest became wild, and much of it reverted to a swampy forest-of unknown reasoning why. When the village was discovered by our Characters, it was overgrown, deserted and the remaining "Soul Bricks were in the main Tree of the village. The Boughs of this Great Tree were encased in a dark black "Globe" of a liquid type barrier. After many hardships, trials and a fair amount of fighting... the remaining Elves of the village were freed from their imprisonment. Since then, our Characters have been given trees of their own to live in and rework, and have helped to rebuild and reestablish the village. Here they discovered they were more than likely the Last Three Remaining Moon Elves... as the Great Moon Elf Village far to the South was destroyed by an unknown force some 400 years ago (which would have been 400 years BEFORE the inhabitants of Corwylln were encased in "Soul Bricks".. do the math-a bewildering puzzle for our characters), a large burned swath cut through the forest as if something impacted from the sky and all the Elves were slaughtered, their heads removed and placed on poles and others missing entirely... to our Characters all of this had happened only months before....and they were the only survivors.
The City of Northgate- this city is on the edge of the Great Inner Sea, a gateway for those wishing to travel into the North. It began as a small military outpost, and over time grew to combat the creatures pouring into the region from the Northern Wilds, Mountains and from the Frozen North.... IT has become large, decrepit, a haven for thieves and brigands, as well as a plethora of vast wealth, information, and knowledge. If one knows where to look....
The City of Scarborough- Little is known of this city by our characters. It lies farther inland, on an island and the banks of a delta where Two Great Rivers meet. It is truly the last great settlement before entering the North and full of wealth brought down river, filled with those coming upriver for trade and adventure, and is built on the ruins on an ancient city that is unknown what race of beings constructed it. River Pirates linger everywhere, as do a great many ancient cults, thieves, and as many Wizards and Elementalists too...searching for secrets the Ancient Undercity Holds and what may be found in the Ruins in the Mountains north of the city...
Thrund- spoken of mainly in legend, Thrund lies far into the Frozen Lands... residing on a island in the Sea of Storms. It is said to have numerous freezing ice storms that tear across the Sea of Storms with little warning, strange Northern Wolf Men that pilot ships on this sea.. and Men and Women of hearty stock that reside in Thrund sharing equal parts within society. A Warrior-sea going folk-dangerous to anger, yet fast of and holding to their word if you pass their approval...and then there are rumors of the "Frost Elves" whom reside in the icy forests and the "Stone Dwarves" deep within their mountains of granite....
